Irish Bass Guide – Guided Fishing Sessions

Booking & Deposits
A deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your session date. The remaining balance is payable prior to commencement of the guided session.

Session Structure
Day guided sessions are run as small-group guided coaching sessions with a maximum of 4 anglers unless explicitly agreed otherwise in advance. Private one-to-one sessions may be available on request depending on tides, dates and availability.

Client Responsibilities

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring they arrive suitably clothed and equipped for the conditions.

  • Clients are responsible for informing Irish Bass Guide before the session of any medical condition, injury, allergy or medication that may affect their ability to participate safely.

  • Clients must follow all safety instructions provided during the session.

Client Cancellations
More than 7 days’ notice: Deposits are generally non-refundable for client cancellations but may, at the discretion of Irish Bass Guide, be transferred to a future session subject to availability.

Less than 7 days’ notice: Deposit is non-refundable.

Less than 48 hours’ notice or non-attendance: Deposit is forfeited.

Client Rescheduling
One reschedule is permitted with at least 7 days’ notice. Further reschedule requests may be treated as a cancellation.

Weather & Safety Cancellations (Guide Decision)
If a session is cancelled by Irish Bass Guide due to unsafe weather, sea conditions, access restrictions, or other safety concerns, the client will be offered either:

• A full refund of the deposit, or

• A rescheduled session at no additional cost

Safety decisions are final.

Early Termination of Session
No refunds will be issued if a session ends early due to:

• Client fatigue, discomfort, or personal choice

• Failure to follow safety instructions

• Unsafe or inappropriate behaviour

Alcohol, Drugs & Fitness to Participate
Clients must not attend a guided session under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or recreational drugs, or any medication that may significantly impair their judgement, balance, coordination or ability to follow safety instructions.

Irish Bass Guide reserves the right to refuse or terminate a session where a client is considered unfit to participate safely. In such circumstances, the session will be treated as a client cancellation and no refund will be due.

Gift Vouchers
• Valid for 12 months from date of issue

• Issued to a named recipient only

• Non-transferable and non-resaleable

• Non-refundable and not exchangeable for cash

• Redeemable against guided fishing sessions only

• Subject to weather and availability

• Irish Bass Guide reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions where conditions require

Force Majeure
Irish Bass Guide is not liable for cancellations caused by events beyond reasonable control. Rescheduling will be offered where possible.

Participation Requirements

  • Minimum age: 18+, or 12+ when accompanied throughout the session by a responsible adult.

  • All participants must be physically capable of safely negotiating uneven terrain, rocks and shallow water while carrying fishing equipment.

Guide Authority
Irish Bass Guide reserves the right to alter the planned venue, session format, fishing methods or duration where reasonably necessary in the interests of safety, changing conditions or to provide the best possible guided experience. Irish Bass Guide also reserves the right to refuse or terminate a session where, in the guide's reasonable opinion, a participant is not appropriately prepared or able to participate safely.

Acceptance
By booking a session and paying a deposit, clients confirm they have read and accepted these terms.
